Entrepreneurship to Harness Research for Australia’s Economic Development

Hi, I’m Harry!

I make wooden bowties, love riding bikes, and am passionate about sustainable development and predicting heart attacks.

I also want to see the research transition faster from the lab to the world and believe entrepreneurship has a critical role to play in this transition.

From Farming to Heart Attacks

I have been fortunate to have had a unique upbringing, having grown up farming on Kangaroo Island, moving into the professional sport of cycling, and living overseas for a number of years before coming back home to Adelaide.

I was awarded a Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship for my Ph.D. on heart attack prediction, a topic I am particularly attached to, after having my own heart problems, including a life-threating acute cardiac event in 2017.
